How to add new planes in the campaign:

There are several planes that are available in TE, but not in Campaign.  Of particular note are the F-22 Raptor and the B-1B Lancer.

The following steps explain how to replace an existing squadron with that of a new plane squadron - for example, replacing the existing B52 squadron with a new B-1B squadron.

NOTE: The following information was gleaned from a post on the CombatSim forum.  Thanks, Ajax, for this info!

The F4Browse utility may be obtained here.

  1. On the left side frame in f4browse, select "Vehicles" then "Aircraft".
  2. Find the B-52H in the list on the right side and double click it. (I replaced the Buff with the B-1)
  3. On the right middle side of the new window, there is a box called "Units with this". Double click one of the Bomber units.
  4. Now, all you have to do is select each of the B-52s in the bottom part of the screen and click "Delete unit". Do this for all 16 of them.
  5. Then, as you might expect, click "Add unit" and select the B-1B. Repeat 16 times. Click "update" for all of the windows which have appeared.

That's it! You now have a squadron of B-1s in your campaign, instead of Buffs.

Since you are manually editing the existing database files, you may need to repeat this procedure every time you apply a new patch that replaces the existing database files.
