Microsoft Game Voice

This is an awesome chat and voice recognition device.  It provides multi-channel chat for Internet voice comms, and it also has a speech recognition layer that allows you to send commands directly to the computer via voice.  Game Voice has a software and hardware component.

The chat software started as BattleCom a few years ago, then it got so good that Microsoft took interest in it and purchased part of the code.  Today, it it tightly integrated with DirectX and includes the speech recognition component that is basically like Game Commander in function - you talk, the program recognizes the phrase, and sends a key command sequence to the game based on a pre-configured template.

IMO its performance is better than that of Game Commander in that the time it takes to respond is *very* quick and the integrated features are top-notch.

The Hardware includes a really high-quality headset with an excellent boom mike.  Talking on this over the Internet could replace long-distance phone calls!  I'm incorporating this into my cockpit.
