When complete, I will have a model cockpit based on the F/A-18 jet fighter.
Why am I building a full scale mock-up of a real cockpit? Because I want to have the best simulation experience I can have, and I'm a geek with lots of time on my hands!
I was really inspired most by the F-16 cockpit found here. This is perhaps the best example of what a cockpit based flight sim is all about!
Please feel free to browse my plans! I am going to try to keep a 'visual diary' of my progress, which up to this point has been all planning. I am starting the construction phase and we'll see what happens!
Update July 4, 2003: OK I got started in this again. With Falcon 4 SP4 coming out soon, and LOMAC, and the desire to add a cool item to my game room, I'm regaining interest in flight sims. I plan to resume the construction shortly. I have a new digital camera, so no more fuzzy pics! Updated images under Design Goals.
