Bolt Swap

If you've ever wondered what it takes, here you go.  Since there were no instructions with the TN / BMP conversion kit, I figured it would be nice to have these documented.

It comes apart similar to an Uzi or FNC... press out the retainer pin and it falls apart:

Here is the retainer pin that holds the ejector and ejector spring in place:

This spring is under moderate pressure, so be sure to prevent it from flying away!

Removing the extractor pin.  This is fairly difficult due to the location and tight fit.

Here's a good pic of the bolt lug that HK obligingly shaved down so as to keep the default SL8 from using double-stack mags.  Someone who is handy with a welder could probably "repair" this, although it would not count as a US-built part...

Reinsertion of the ejector spring.  This was more difficult than it looked:

I had to wiggle the end of the spring with a probe to pop it clear of the pin so the pin could be completely inserted...

Complete.  Reverse the process to reassemble the bolt.
